You have a point. My Nexus 4 is still fairly new and I don't want to give it up just yet. I'll wait for the Nexus 5. I need high end specs. I refuse to downgrade to a mid range phone. I just really love the customization options with this phone.

Definitely ***** on my iPhone 4S. My contract runs out in November so imma keep an eye out for something to upgrade to.

Google bought Motorola for their patents, not to give them extra advantages. It might get a Google Edition version, like the S4 and that other HTC phone, but nothing more.

??? How is it an extra advantage if its THEM? And it is getting a Google edition + Google's marketing budget.

I'm still wondering how phones like the S4 with 8 cores can ever lag on a mobile OS though. It should be smooth at all times.

The fact that a phone like this apparently needs 8 cores to run smoothly is a true testament to Android's severe underlying problems when compared to other operating systems.

But I like the overall external design. It's cute

Because Google don't care about them and only wanted patents.
So even if it's theoretically "them", Google don't see it like that, which is why they weren't even involved in the development.
