Everyone lipsyncs every now and again.
Whitney, Mariah, Bey, Michael, and plenty of other vocally gifted performers have lipsynced at least once before.

HOWEVER,
they have proven themselves time and time again and reminded us all why we fell in love with their craft to begin with.

They would be just fine.

The others are the ones who wouldn't be fine.

You know who they are.

The singers that use lipsyncing and pitch correction as a crutch because they have no talent otherwise.

The singers who pull away from the microphone to let the crowd sing the high parts and belts of their most vocally demanding songs.

The singers who awkwardly strut around the stage waving their arms and let the backing track with studio vocals play without even delivering so much as an adlib for 2+ hours.

The singers who deliver short winded, whispery performances so low that it may as well just be a live instrumental show.

The singers who use a bunch of dramatic, gimicky stage props and set designs to distract the audience from the fact that they aren't actually doing anything aside from an occasional dip or leg spread.

THOSE are the ones who would have to explore alternative career options.

That's what I'm saying. Michael and Janet's career wouldn't be as afloat or maybe not even exist. Thus wouldn't be able to impact the world like they did so artists debuting after that rode of their impact whether they lipped or not wouldn't be here as we know them or not even exist. Take Beyonce for example, she said she only does what she does because of MJ. If he didn't lip (not dance) then he would be a boring performer and Bey might not want to get on that stage. When I said everyone, I didn't literally mean everyone just the majority.

EDIT: Before you say just because lipsycning won't be allowed doesn't mean they won't be signed and make their art, it does. It's because record companies will only sign the big voices and pay dust to anyone with an average voice who can make it up in other ways.
