Heartbreak is one of the worst feelings someone will ever have. You can't really judge anyone for their thoughts unless you've experienced it yourself. It feels like someone tore your heart out, leaving you empty and hollow, like there's nothing else to live for. Those thoughts might be something you think of in the moment, but people usually pick themselves up pretty quickly from there.

Everyone in this thread who tried to claim that Katy doesn't have the right to feel suicidal or depressed deserves to get slapped. Why don't you try asking Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston or Kurt Cobain if they think that being rich and famous solved all of their problems?

In fact, people who are suicidal won't always have a substantial reason to feel that way. It could be the product of a long string of small disappointments, or maybe depression just runs in the person's family. Often, the suicidal person won't even know why he/ she feels so awful. Of course not, I'm not saying she shouldn't express herself and what not, I just don't think that thinking about suicide is the answer for anything especially when you have a family that loves you and supports you and in the bible it clearly states that suicide is not something that god approves of.

I'm not saying anything bad about her, I salute her for her bravery to go on...just my opinion and my take on it that's all.

How did I generalize Katy stans? I responded to the individual shady comment and then I reiterated my point to you. I never said that all Katy stans do it. And yes, some of the Monsters are making disgusting comments in here. I practice what I preach because I came to this thread to wish Katy the best. I don't know why you're still trying to make this an argument.

I don't agree that being a Christian makes thinking about suicide wrong. Suicide is a horrible thing, but we shouldn't make it "sinful" to think about; instead, we should encourage people who think about suicide to talk to someone, not suppress their feelings for a long time, and not release their feeling in a self-harming way at the same time. I think everyone goes through a really dark period in their life regardless of religion and rather than hiding their feelings and being afraid to think of it because of "being a good Christian girl", they should let people on the outside know & seek help. Not be ashamed of it. I think religion handles suicidal thoughts the wrong way, it's sad, but it's not shameful/sinful. That just makes it worse.

I mean obviously she's saying it like two years later (which we have no right to say when she should've said anything), but it's always good to hear someone who was really down picked themselves back up.
