Anyway, I already do. I graduated with a degree in communications but I did all my internships at luxury brands and top magazines. Right now I'm working in public relations and events so not exactly design but I like to think I have the more fun side of the industry.

Wait, I'm confused, what exactly is the fashion industry contributing to society? Especially if you plan on being a high-end fashion designer for like celebrities and stuff. The normal person would NEVER be able to afford those things, and even if they could, they'd be highly impractical for every day activities.

If I am coming off as ignorant, I would really like to know what fashion designers contribute to every day people.

More on topic, though: No, I don't. It's one of the most shallow industries.

I feel sorry for people who want to work in fashion thinking they'll one day be were Lauren, francesco carrozzini, rachel zoe, Bryanboy etc are...like only few people last in fashion and make it that far. Just look @ the models that flop and never book a single thing everyday. They take em on telling them " oh you'll be the new Kate moss etc"...

There's like 30% when I choose a major I'll go the fibers and material studies route and I'd love to work on textiles and ****. So maybe.
