When did I say it was proper English? It's listed in the dictionary, so I'm sorry but that means both are accepted forms in this language. Your claim that "stupidest is not a word" in your original post is therefore incorrect, which was all that I disputed in the first place. Your perceived grammatical preference of "most stupid" does not deem "stupidest" as "not a word". Good try on YOUR part though.
I should also mention that an internet forum is an example of casual conversation, so I don't think that an accepted yet not preferred form of a word is out of place here.
