It's supposed to be "Teenage Dream" 2.0, slower but not necessarily a ballad.

I think he's talking about the "Wrecking Ball" success. A power Ballad too.. and it's 2nd single too.

ToY couldn't get the same success from her previous singles, IKAG and H&C.. that would explain the lack of ballads in the TD era. But now that Miley is smashing with her 2nd single, Katy may be following that trend. That's his point.. im not hating btw

Wrong. Opacho doesn't have a point when it comes to Katy Perry, he will never say anything positive about her. Katy could cure cancer and he'd say "She's just copying those scientists who cured those other diseases, what an unoriginal trend hoper."

I doubt its any more of a ballad than Teenage Dream is anyway.
