I feel like a third person (not Lana or Lorde) is working really hard on a feud to happen between the bases (even thought most of Lana fans like Lorde and vice versa)

It could mean Lana was great in the beginning and it is now garbage

or

Lana needed several years to become successful, meanwhile Lorde is immediately successful.
