Gaga is desperate because she is no longer getting attention aside from some delusional fans still living in 2009. She's been reduced to a niche artist that appeals only to a few gays and low self-esteem teens.
It may be her record company is paying radio and buying on iTunes in lieu of spending money on promotion, for radio, at least, I strongly suspect payola as she announces the record and her name whenever it plays. I've never heard anyone outside atrl mention the song. She will also probably inflate her album sales via her app.
It's obvious Gaga knows this as she admits people are ashamed of listening to her:
...and has an unhealthy obsession with herself that she feeds by googling herself up and constantly checking up on her views, airplay, itunes positions, twitter mentions etc...
Madonna could care less about chart positions, mentions, etc.. and her working with PSY, LMFAO and Nicki were obviously in the name of good fun.
Trying to imply that PSY or LMFAO had anything to do with the MDNA Tour's 2, 212, 345 attendees is a reach and borderline delusion in an attempt to try and reduce her impact and make Gaga look better.
Having an opinion different from those blind-following a fading popstar is not 'hating'.
It's obvious Gaga has been desperate to be talked about, because in 2013 no one cares about her pretenses and her mediocre recycled beats that she's been doing since 2008. It's also obvious this era will be remembered as a mess and each time she tries to hijack another star's limelight she is further digging her own grave.
Lady Gaga is her own worst enemy. If she would just SHUT THE **** UP, I would be able to like her more. But she hasn’t grasped that concept in 5 years and I doubt she'll ever will.
All you have to do is release a song and let it do it’s thing. She is so consumed with pretending to be this great legendary artist. That happens organically, and she is striving so hard to make it happen artificially that it’s hurting her and has been her undoing.
Honestly, at this point it’s too late for her to even attempt a salvation with the GP. Everyone has pretty much written her off. I don’t wish anything horrible upon her and I do think she has some talent, but she’s too far gone at this point. She’s been reduced to a joke now, not a megastar and Applause is terrible.
I’m a massive, gigantic Madonna fan and for a while I liked Gaga too. I bought the first two albums, I bought Born This Way as well but she lost me with that crap tour, the constant posturing and ‘mother monster’ thing and that dreadful fan base of hers.
It’s not cool to like Lady Gaga anymore. If she’d stuck to what she was good at she would have been fine but when she bit off more than she could chew and took Madonna on and now Bowie and Warhol and started releasing trumped up crap, she lost a huge portion of her fan base and that huge portion of her fan base were the Madonna fans and the casual listeners. I personally feel alienated as do many.
