She put her rap flow in a pop song and it was brilliant. When she tried so hard to be pop and traded that in for pop cliches is when she lost what made her great.
I think with Starships it has the instant catchiness that draws you in and makes you fall in love with it and sing along in no time
For me when I first listened to Super Bass when it first came out, It took me a few good listens to really get into it and catch it, and once I did, It was forever a bop for me. I definitely think Super Bass has the more lasting appeal and longevity.
They're both amazing pop songs. And she sounds great with so much energy on both.
