Joe Jonas, she dragged publicly, too. John Mayer, a little bit. She spoke a lot about Jake Gyllenhaal; she just called him 'this guy' but please, we all know who it was.
How it usually is perceived is that if you don't care, you say nothing because that person is not even on your mind. For the first few months of the year, Taylor made it seem that she was bitter and pressed about Harry because she kept referring to him in some way. If she didn't care, why bother? It wasn't doing her any favours with the GP.

The media made it a big deal but Taylor kept fuelling the fire. Why put on a British accent on the Grammys if she didn't want it to be a big deal? Why say she directed her Brits performance at him if she didn't want it to be a big deal? If she didn't want to lie to Vanity Fair, "I don't talk about my personal life" would have sufficed - it always has in the past. Her behaviour after Harry doesn't say "I don't care" to me. Either she was really pressed and upset or she was faking it and I don't understand why she would do the latter, when it just hurt her image and made it look like she's always getting bent out of shape after every two-month relationship.
It's weird; the Harry break-up was the one all the media attention was on and it really would have behooved her to look easy-going and unbothered, but she acted worse than she has with others.

Simple, because it's has more to do with ego & pride than actual feelings. Isn't it pretty obvious?
And Lord is not a typical girl, just a reminder.

nop you are wrong she never spoke explicitly about any of them, except joe, she just answered some questions and very vaguely. like, yeah this dude, or once this boyfriend, we can speculate, but we don't know, "People think they know, but they don't really know", Taylor Swift. The thing with muppet is very simple she broke up with him, throw some shade at the grammys and moved on. I think the VF article was just a way to be clear and end the speculations, "I dumped him because the bastard can't keep his eyes out of other women, end of history". her heart was not broken, just her pride and sometimes that's even worse

I can see that. I always thought the Joe Jonas thing was more about hurt pride than a broken heart and she acted in a similar way about Harry. But then she wrote all those beautiful songs about Joe that make it seem like she was really in love. We'll just have to wait and see if Harry inspires any songs and what those will be

Taylor's not stupid, though; she knows how the media works. She kept giving them stuff. I mean, the tweets happened: "'Til you put me down" and "Back to the studio. Uh oh." The media ran with it. Then the Grammy's happened and she did the British accent on stage. The media ran with it. Then she had her friend talk about him in VF. The media ran with it. Then she told a journalist that she directed her Brits performance at him. The media ran with it. Then she dedicated her VMA award to an ex-boyfriend while Harry was in the audience and the press has been saying the song is about him. The media ran with it.
At the some point, you have to realise that, if Taylor wanted to limit the amount of press given to her thing with Harry, she wouldn't have done most of that stuff. Yeah, the media makes a big deal out of everything, but you don't have to help them along. The media tried to paint Taylor as a bitch because of the facial expression she had when Adele won the GG. That's an example of the media making something out of nothing. But imagine if Taylor then had a friend talk about Adele in a magazine, then said she directed a performance at Adele, then dedicated her VMA to someone she lost to before while Adele was sitting there. Then the story would have dragged on for months and Taylor would have looked pressed as hell.

Difference was, Joe happened when She was a child as well. And pretty much Her first 'big' and public relationship. Like, knowing Her and from Her latest quotes, it seems like She has grown up a bit this year. And most likely have realised that 1D kid was just infatuation. Do hope She will ignore them. If She drags them, She's just giving exactly what they want.

She talked about Mayer, but that was in response to what he said about 'Dear John', so I can concede that doesn't count. With Jake, she was speaking specifically about the Red album and some songs on the Red album like WANEGBT and The Last Time and she talked in detail about what kind of guy this boyfriend was. Yes, you're right in that we don't technically 'know' she means Jake, but...come on. We treat it like it's Jake when we're discussing the songs and what he might've meant to her; I don't think we can turn around and say "oh, but it's not really Jake" when we're discussing how much the Lord blabs in public.

But sis, stan heads know that there are double messages all the time. Take "Mine", "Enchated", "Haunted", and "Innocent" for example. And the way She talked about Jake was not exactly bashing him all the time. If anything the vibe I'm getting is, "Oh this dude is such an elitist and ****. But it was good, for what it was worth, it was worth all the while."
We may not getting it on first listen. But with every listen, we pick up new clues. Took me about a year to figure out "Mine" and "Love Story"/"White Horse."
Also a bit funny that most ppl think TLT is about Jake, stans especially.

Oh, I never said that she bashed him; just that she talked about him a lot. I feel like her relationship with Jake is the one she talked about the most - she kind of had to, as most of the Red album is about him.

You think it's not? I think it is because it's essentially the same story as WANEGBT, just in slow, mournful ballad form.

Nope. And if anything, I just jumped on the TLT as a song about a whole different thing train few days ago. I just took it as a good song before.
