Gaga will need a lot more than the "smashing success" of "Applause" (which shouldn't be italicized since it's a title of a song) to scan two million copies of ARTPOP. It will depend on the follow-up singles if she comes close to two million, which is what BTW did in the U.S. What will help her is that she has the fourth quarter to scrape up holiday sales.
