Nope. If she got a +3 million AI update last Week, she would have had to gain +6 million AI to get a +3 million update today. Does that make sense.

So for example. This morning, Work Bitch had a -6.528 million AI. Next Monday, if she gets +2 million AI from her spins, her update next Tuesday morning will be +8.528 million AI.

At least I think that's how it works. Maybe I'm wrong.

so that means in actuality her update on 9/22 was +5.797? doesn't seem quite right to me.

Yup. That's how I understand it.

I mean, technically, in "actuality" her update was +3.1, because that's just how their rolling chart works. But to get an update of +3.1, she would have had to had an AI of 5.797 from her spins that day because she loses the 2.697 from the week before.

Like I said, I could be wrong, but I think that's how it goes.

To explain how radio works, the chart is a building chart. That means every spin throughout the week counts. If you look at Kworb and see that Katy Perry has 16,000 spins on pop, that does not mean that she has 16,000 spins today, it means that she's had 16,000 spins in the last seven days. It's impossible to get negative updates the first week because spins are compared to the same day last week.

For example, if a song is spun 100 times on Monday and then 65 times on Tuesday, its Tuesday update will say that it gained 65 spins and will show 165 spins. To keep the example simple, pretend that the song is spun 0 times from Wednesday to Sunday. If the song has 75 spins the next Monday, those spins will be compared to the Monday a week ago. Even though the spins were more than the song had every day throughout its run except the first Monday, it will show that the song lost 25 spins because that Monday will replace the last Monday where the song had 100 spins.
