On the evening that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered on ABC, Fox fired a shot across the bow by ordering straight to series Gotham, a drama based on the DC Comics character of Commissioner Gordon.

Executive-produced and penned by The Mentalist’s Bruno Heller and produced by Warner Bros. Television, the one-hour drama series promises to explore “the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous.”
