Dark type in Japan translates more into an 'evil' type, so if Froakie really is supposed to be a thief (which it isn't IMO) then Froakie should be Water/Dark.
Anyway, it only makes sense if Froakie is Water/Fighting, Chespin Grass/Dark and Fennekin Fire/Psychic, because then they all are weak and strong to each other and I'm here for that

But that's what GF said in some interview with some random site...? That's why the Pokebeach rumors and that information completely contradict themselves, imo. Really, I'm not 100% sure about the Pokebeach rumor because it just seems like a thing to please everyone about the reverse triangle bull****, which I thought it was fine before the new Type Chart was revealed. Having that will NOT compensate the fact that Chespin will suck so much.
And GF has NEVER done that before, so I don't get the ''it only makes sense they're all weak to the other one's second STAB''.

Sis, they have almost done the same thing with the gen 4 starters, except that Torterra isn't weak to Steel, but he does have a 4x Ice weakness.
They have listened to the fans with this generation + everything we have seen from the starters now imply that they're gonna have this reverse triangle stuff. I mean, Fennekevo's wand, Froakevo's foam shurikens etc.

Well, I think anything can happen at this point, the thing that doesn't go well with me is both of the sources' contradicting information. If we go strictly by flavor (which you can say it's what they're doing with this whole reverse triangle thing), a thief cannot be Fighting type and a Knight doesn't simply equal a Dark type. I guess we have to wait and see.
I don't want Chespin to be Dark, might as well use Cacturne as my starter.

Well, bothers me that we're getting another defensive Grass starter. They have enough weaknesses to deal with that make those defenses useless.
It could turn out differently, but that huge ass chestnut isn't there just for aesthetics

They both look genuine tbqh. Seeing as they're the last evolutions though(apart from possible mega evols) they don't look much different to their previous evolutions tbh...hmm I'm not blown away but Fennekin looks like a bad ass beetch.

I was expecting Fennekin's last evo to be more of a creature on four legs. It would've looked much better like that, imo.
I'm excited for the Chespin's last-evo though (assuming he's not going to be messy-looking like Chespin's second evo)

That Fennekin3 looks terrible, not that I'm expecting something amazing though. It IS the worst of the 3 starters.

I would play any Pokemon game regardless of the graphics... but since this generation has amazing graphics I will praise them... chill.
