I think I prefer the longevity

Longevity = impact, #1 doesn't unless it's a long enough reign.

Example: HIAM was #1, fell quickly and is now mostly forgotten. TTWE never went #1 but is still seen as the most memorable song from the Femme Fatale era because it had longevity.

But having both is nice. BTW is a good example

of course being number 1 is always nice, but longevity i think its crucial in music.

thats how you will leave an impact psychologically on people.

My fave has both but If I'd had to choose it would be longetivity.

Most #1s aren't memorable. It's the non-#1s that usually outshine the top spot holders (HnC outlasted IKaG, WA outlasted PoM), so I'll go with longevity.

As someone who stanned an artist who had no #1 for 7 years, one week at #1 is a lot more satisfying than 3 weeks at #2.
