It was their first season, they didn't even know if the show was going to be successful. They paid her $17 million to return so I don't see the problem. And yes, Shakira will receive more than $12 million for next season as everybody else.
Oh, and by the way. $100 million grossing tour? Are you sure cause according to Pollstar, it grossed $53.2 million during 2011 (58% of total shows) and is nowhere to be found on Billboard's Top 25 tours of 2010 where #25 has a gross of $28.6 million. It would be interesting to know where are the other $50 million coming from, since Billboard and Pollstar disagree.
