It is actually one of the oldest tricks in music journalism to pit female performers against each other. They never do that with guys.
Sadly, the stans always fall for that (and the ones who either hate one of them).
This is no support for either of them.
I just don't get why nobody feels the need to leave them alone, trying to build a career where they don't have to be compared to each other.
I am sure that especially Lorde is already so sick and tired being compared to Lana. She is her own woman and people should really stop. Especially those who have always hated Lana and just wait for another chance to come after her.
We didn't know about that though until it surfaced. Who's to say that Lana wouldn't have been painted with the same brush had the track surfaced BEFORE BTD dropped? Also, Lana and Gaga are around the same age. Lorde has said things (some critical) about artists that are older and more established than she is. So, a lot of people are like, "Bitch, who are you?"
And what proof do you have about Lana being elitist? Did she say something, recently (besides the US not embracing her, remark)? I think you're projecting.

Thats what bothers me the most, is the fact that people refuse to call Lana out on her ********. No one dares acknowledge the fact that shes super pretentious and thinks way too highly of herself and her music for what she produces.
