~.~ I dunno why, but from what I've seen so far. I personally don't like her acting yet.
But we'll see how it will grow on me when I see the full version.
Saw this movie last night and it was pretty good. It's being sold and a comedy/drama, but, I feel it wasn't really a "funny" movie per se. It's more a serious/darker movie with some light hearted moments. It comes across with a top layer of cliches, yet, when you really let the movie resonate, it's much deeper than it comes across.
I thought Pink was great. She was a relaxed presence of a woman who is struggling with her own demons. She really lets her character breathe and shows her vulnerability through her harder shell....much like Pink's own persona. And even though the character of Dede was based on just that, I never sat there thinking, "oh, I'm watching Pink play Dede". I was watching this woman Dede connect with another person who understands her addiction. It was great. I'm happy she is getting recognition for this role, because she did herself justice. I didn't walk away thinking she was just a pop-star who wanted to act. She did a good job and I'm hoping she'll explore making movies more in the future.
