I can name 10 rappers more "lyrically supreme" than Em and Tupac, tbh.
Eminem has always been overrated because he was the first white rapper who wasn't completely trash or a walking comedy act.
That song alone is probably more lyrical than 95% of rap songs out there.
Wait I know what you're going to do......
Name 10 rappers that are underground and that nobody knows and that you know nobody will ever bother listening to them that are only hyped up on random internet forums
But go ahead, name 10.......
Tupac wasn't very lyrical at all, he just had the message.
But Eminem is on a whole different level lyrically, especially on his underground work.
Especially when you speak of technically being lyrical. With poetic/literary elements and a mindblowing tight rhyme scheme because you can't get much better than Eminem with those.
There are rappers from the underground that are on his level though...

Cause he's Eminem now. He can get away with anything.
But he got away with it back in the day too, saying stuff about various celebs, and I always felt like if it was a Jay-Z saying those things it wouldn't be taken the same.
If you guys heard Superman, than you should know it's about Mariah Carey. Can you imagine if another big rapper - not Eminem - made that same song about one of the biggest females in the industry? It's vile (and a great song, but still lol) - the uproar would be crazy.
Em really only had beef with gay people. No one else took his other lyrics that seriously. He always got away with it. Still that being said, it's made for some of the sickest rhymes ever.
He didn't not get away with anything back in the day.
He got dragged on the news all the time, banned from entering numerous countries, he was protested against at the grammys, his own mother sued him for 10 million dollar for slander. The list goes on

Really? What countries did he get banned from?
I know the protests were by gay people because of the homophobia in his lyrics (I know he's not homophobic btw)
I've never heard of Em receiving serious hate for bashing celebrities. I mean the celebs would say stuff sometimes and I'm sure the news wasn't the nicest, but if Jay broke up with Beyonce back in the day and made a song like Superman, I think his career would be severely affected.
He raps super fast so it stands out. But focus on his lyrics and his rhymes and they don't come anywhere near a prime Slim Shady.
Anyways, no lyrically wise those two songs were not more lyrical than Infinite, nor Eminem's other lyrical monsters like 313, Stan, The Way I Am, As The World Turns, etc etc etc etc etc etc
Does anyone even care about this song? That's probably why or atleast the Kardashian fans (they clearly exist in mass numbers) would be fussing, they don't even seem to care.
