if you bothered to dig in deeper and watch the video on billboard about this, Bruno's selection was based on a number of things not just what was quoted their. research through focus group etc. the choice was also done by the nfl. Essentially it was super bowls target audience that chose him indirectly.

As for P!nk . . . keep in mind that eight years passed by between Janet and Madonna's performance. There's always been speculation that the Pepsi/Superbowl PTB were apprehensive about having another woman do the half-time show because of Nipplegate.
