I can see both selling almost the same, but I'll go with ARTPOP as long as Gaga is a better album seller than Katy, but I'm not sure this time.

gaga might sell a little more but honestly i think they're going to do about the same, especially in the US.

Lady Gaga isn't going to debut incredibly high like she did with Born This Way since she isn't frontloaded this era.

Two months ago I would have said that Gaga would have the higher first week sales, but, due to Roar's massive success, I think Katy will sell more albums worldwide and in the US. However, Gaga won't be too far behind her.

I personally think Katherine will best Gaga in the States. Gaga's global reign won't be beat soon, though.
