5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop-rock band who have opened for One Direction on their recent world tour. With the support of the One Direction fanbase, do you think that they can have success here in the US?

Since Cher Lloyd, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs, and Little Mix used their One Direction connections as springboards to their own American success, I think that 5SOS can do this too.

No one's here for a copy of One Direction. Look at all those Britney Spears and Justin Bieber copies and tell me which one has ever been relevant. Probably only Jessica Simspon.

5SOS have the One Direction fanbase backing them. They could spur strong sales for a debut single if it gets released, and a strong debut on the Billboard Hot 100 might attract radio PDs to play their song. I actually think that "Heartbreak Girl" has pop potential.
