It's because of the way society is. Men can openly enjoy male artists, consisting mostly of bands and rappers, but will get made fun of for listening to a female.

I remember this one boy in my journalism class got CLOWNED for having Nicki Minaj's PF album on his iPod. She's a rapper, but she's still a female so it's a no-no I guess.

In my country many straight men can listen to whatever they want and noone makes fun of them. Are yall living in Saudi Arabia or something? They even attend concerts of pop girls because pop girls barely come here and straight men get happy for this.Noone here is called gay unless they act and talk in a feminine way.
