Jessie J on abandoned Calvin Harris album track: It didn’t fit what Alive’s about
Jessie J has said she decided to leave a Calvin Harris track out of her new album Alive because she ‘didn’t feel it’.
The former Voice UK judge revealed that Harris announced their collaboration before she had even decided which songs were going to make it onto the finished record.
Jessie told Digital Spy: ‘It just didn’t fit the sound. I didn’t write the song and I didn’t feel it. It’s a great song, but just wasn’t for me.
‘It is a great song. I might kick myself when someone else is singing it and
I’m like, “S**t, it’s number one”. For me, it didn’t feel like it fitted what my album is about. I’d still love to work with him, but I’d like to write with him.’
