She's saying that what we see from others is always their best...not their bad days, struggles, thoughts, insecurities, etc. We see all of those things in ourself though.

Isn't this kind of rude? It's like she's shading everyone else saying they're not as real as her or whatever, and that's not really like her.
I see it as her trying to say that we shouldn't compare ourselves to others when we are only focusing on their good qualities and how they present themselves to the world around them. We don't see their behind the scenes reel (their mistakes, embarrassing moments, etc.) just like how everyone else doesn't see ours.

No. She's telling the fan not to compare herself to other ppl because she/he (the fan) only sees everybody at their best when they're in public or around ppl (their highlight reel) and she's comparing that to herself when no ones around (behind the scenes). Queen Swift is only telling the fan that it's an unfair comparison to make.
