Kotaku took a poll during the first day of Tokyo Game Show, the day that’s open to the public, and attempted to talk to up to 70 people about their preference of systems that will arrive on their shores next year. 32 people answered and the results were in staggering favor of the PS4, but that wasn’t the surprising part, even the fact that not one answered Xbox One aroused suspicion, heck, one kid didn’t even know what an Xbox was, it was the numbers of people who said they weren’t buying either of them that surprised me.
Japan does not use her only a small few in japan does and not enough to garner real revenue.
They should stop trying to make the brand happen in japan it isn't gonna work.
The real reason for the 360 design was to get japans attention.
It's true though, I've yet to meet a person from Japan who uses Xbox

Microsoft has terrible marketing and only focuses on English speaking countries while Sony/PS3 is slaying Xbox pretty much everywhere but America/Canada/UK/Australia
They support their own, they are fiercely loyal to Sony there, Microsoft don't stand a chance, thats why Japanese games are always on PS3 and not Xbox 360
