I wasn't here at the time, but since the album RTW was cut from still managed to debut with over 300k in the first week, topped the charts for two weeks and remained in the top 10 for 2 consecutive months, I'd say that any "meltdowns" were ultimately soothed.

I think that's what's happening with Work Bitch too for a lot of the Britney stans.
