Cher revealed on Twitter that she's "ashamed" of opening her "big opinionated mouth" about Miley Cyrus' VMA performance.
Superstar Cher - known for her huge success in music, film and television - shared a few thoughts on Miley Cyrus's infamous VMA performance with a handful of publications. However, the 'Woman's World' singer has revealed that she's feeling "ashamed" of her remarks.
Just moments ago, she posted a series of tweets on the subject; "RE: Miley C... I think what I think but having said that... I'm a little ashamed (which is total bulls**t, how can you be a little ashamed) that I didn't keep my big opinionated mouth shut. What the f**k is my problem! I'm too old to fall prey to 'Tell us, oh wise one, what did you think of Miley Cyrus?'"
"What I should have said: 'I didn't like it that much, but she's pushing the envelope, being an artist!'
She's talented, and didn't commit a felony but somehow my ego had to get its two cents in! My - big ass - 'bad'! I didn't support a fellow artist.
Truthfully, she was f**king brilliant because we're still talking about it. P.S. This is not an apology for what I thought, it's a reminder that if I don't practice my principles, I lose them."
Famously-outspoken Cher shouldn't feel too bad as she wasn't alone in criticizing Miley's twerk-tastic performance - fellow songstress P!nk (who wrote two songs for Cher's new album) is just one of an array of stars who also gave the performance a poor review:
P!nk told 'E!': "Am I into it? No, I think it's tacky. She's really freakin' talented, she's beautiful, she can sing her ass off and to go up there and do that? She's cheating herself and she's cheating the rest of us... She can do what she wants. People can like it if they want. I'm not going to buy it. She can do better. I've seen her do better."
