Sometimes a whole episode can go by and you feel like nothing happened. AMC shows do that a lot, particularly Mad Men and The Walking Dead can make you feel no progress was made in an hour.
This show suffers from that sometimes, but season 4 and season 5 have really ramped up the action.
The beauty of this show really is Walter White, where if you watch from season 1 onward the journey is so gradual you nearly miss his change as a character.
