Why are these threads even open still I can't I don't even like math but I know how important it can be for education. It helps build logic etc so of course
I mean, I STILL have yet to apply SOHCAHTOA or any of those other math formulas in my every day life. Only thing I've used is adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing. And I learned that well before high school.
Math is the pits to understand. It took me 3 and a half years to get through Algebra One. And I STILL needed 5 credits of math by the end of Senior Year, so I just took the D I got in Geometry and graduated with all my friends. And then I got a super hard math teacher who basically assigned a whole DAY of homework that I just couldn't handle it so I had to drop the class and I failed every test.
Math is one of those subjects where not everyone is naturally good at it, and if you have a teacher that doesn't even teach it well enough, it's just hard to pass it. The lowest scores I ever got in school have been in math.
I use basic math to count my money and that's really the only time I use it aside from cooking.
Only the basics. The stuff we'll actually use in life. And those who want a career that involves advance math should be put in a separate class to go further in Math.
This. All of the things I'm learning now are never going to be useful.
