I mean I personally don't think core classes should be enforced in college because at that point we all should have a basic grasp of the cores and then explore them voluntarily from there, but high school should be where we learn the basic things.

Obviously. And at people suggesting only teaching subjects if we need them. We can NEVER know which jobs we'll use in our lives and it's good to be knowledgable on every subject. Knowledge is great.

So then what should they teach us past elementary school? With that logic, you could say "I'm not going to be a novelist, why learn English anymore?" or "I'm not going to be a historian, why should I learn history anymore?"
