No, you're good, this is a discussion forum, that's what we do.
I honestly felt, moving to the south that I would deal more with racism and things that happened since there was a whole war and what not, but i think honestly in my experience have seen people whose parents parent were the ones that were affected by what happened, bring it up... I also feel, but this is an opinion, and you can take it at its weight that sometimes, somethings have NOTHING to do with race ergo the reason for me amending my comment to "first person to bring up race, is the racist"
But, I think that card should be retired, I really don't find the need to continually use it, especially in situations where it's not being called for... but that's just me, and what I've been through; I have no IDEA what you've been through, neither do I know how it's affected you, but based on my experiences, down here in Texas, of all states, there isn't much racism around - I went to a lady's house who bore the confederate flag, on her truck and on her porch - she was one of the nicest ladies I've ever met in my life!
Now don't get me wrong, racism does exist, it's just not everywhere where it used to be, and sometimes people bring it, where it isn't to begin with.
If I saw the whole video, I can pretty much guarantee you that the woman said nothing relatively racist before she threw out the "black card."
