I find the whole thing about middle names etc very interesting because it doesn't exist here in the Czech Republic. The only person I know who has middle is my friend how has it because she has been christened or something but it is still an "unofficial" name, just for the church or so. But it seems that in the UK/US it is normal to have (at least) two names. Like Kelly Brianne Clarkson.

That is very interesting, almost everyone I know has a middle name.

Well, now you know one person who doesn't have it (me). I am Kateřina and that's it (and my surname of course). You can call me Kate tho, I don't like the full name "Kateřina" because it sounds very hard and sharp.

Maybe it's just unusual for the Slavs. The Czechs don't (usually, they are some exceptions like Karel Hynek Mácha and Karel Jaromír Erben who are famous poets but they lived like 150 years ago) have it, I think the Slovaks are the same and I think the Russians as well. We can ask Eyarimu if the Polishes have it.
