Guys what are projections for Katie's album first week. Im thinking with her popularity it'll be well over 500k. Just curious. I kinda doubt she can challenge 1m but who knows? Depends on how her other pre-release songs do, I guess.

Asking here cause im not her fan so I don't know where the sales projections for her are.

Also what kinda promo for Red do you all think is possible/should be done by Taylor this holiday shopping season?

IDK what to think about Katy at the moment. On the one hand, history tells us that she should debut below or around 300K, but on the other hand... If Luke Bryan managed to sell 500K first week, and "Roar" had such big sales, a larger debut over 500K seems within reach for her.


I think that the CMAs and the AMAs are the only promo opportunities She has for this winter, especially since She'll be in Oceania on tour later on... Perhaps She could pre-record a performance for the CMAs' annual Christmas special

I'm really curious what use Taylor is going to put her next two months off from tour; I think mostly she's going to just relax and wind down; but then again she may have something scheduled. She always says she can't stand being off too long. I've heard a couple rumors of things but not hing I really trust so I guess we'll wait and see.

One thing: I wonder if she'll perform STF on a couple shows to promote that movie and her song when the movie gets theatre release? And if she does will it be Letterman/Leno Ellen etc.? Id kinda like to see her on Craig Ferguson. He's funny

Yeah, She already said She'll be in the studio, then on tour, then in the studio, then on the unannounced legs of the tour.

I hope she doesn't over-tour.

And I hope next album and tour she adapts and changes a lot of stuff, just to keep things fresh for her and us. Id like a tour that was adaptable where shd could and would change the setlist frequently and do diiferent songs at each show, maybe throw in various old-school covers and old unreleased songs.

I think she's been really smart this tour. Quite a few days off after every few shows, week long breaks here and there, and she's just been enjoying her life/new home while doing what she loves.

She's always said she loves International touring, so I think she's really going to take advantage of her oversees dates and travel/sight-see while she can. She's definitely not going to be on a Rihanna or Pink schedule where she's performing every other day.

Well, glad EHC moved up on each format! I can see the pop AI loss being because of Work Bitch. Still doing great on HAC and AC. Red is staying somewhat stable, which is fantastic!
