Maleficent is that bitch of Disney. Everyone knows her and everyone fears her. She's the blueprint of evil and everything modern female villains aspire to be. Even Angelina Jolie stans for her.
Ursula is a fat, disgusting drag queen wannabe. She has no class and the only thing people fear about her is the fact she might eat them.
I personally prefer Ursula, but Maleficent is literally the incarnation of evil.

Ursula's reason is a lot more valid than Maleficent's. The Little Mermaid Broadway show goes more into detail about what happened to her and why she's so upset. TLM 3 touches on it too.
This is the reason I'm so excited for Maleficent's movie though. She obviously has a lot more backstory than just a lost invitation.
