Some people think is ok to make out/kiss your parents/family. I mean I understand y'alls families are so modern but that's is just weird. I ways think is really weird when I see parents doing that to their kids.

Yes it is ok, it's just a peck on the lips, It's been a long time since I last kissed my mum, but my nan/gran made me kiss her last month I don't see the issue ever heard the saying " do you kiss you mother with that mouth"?
It's not uncommon.
