If you're really a fan you'll enjoy a new era regardless of its chart success (or the lack of it). If you're a bandwagoner who's only here for the numbers it's a different story.

jk, it depends on if it's a good album on whole. if it's flopping then either people just aren't here for the good songs enough or if the promo is terrible.
The album remains good and bad as it is, but without much success, there won't be a lot going on for that era. There will be few singles, videos won't be invested, or those with scene cuts from performance and road trip and such.
