Is a flop era a boring era?
Everyone acts like "I don't care about success as long as there is quality" but to me, a flop era is just ****ing boring.
I remember how bored I was during the Goodbye Lullaby era... no performances, ****** charts positions etc...

If there's a good album, good performances, good tour, etc. I won't care about chart positions.

I agree but if the charts positions ain't good, there won't be promo, the artist will have a low budget etc... very annoying.

Uhm sorry I was too busy BOPPING to Smile and its MV and singing the rest of the songs on Goodbye Lullaby at the top of my lungs to care if it was flopping.

This. Music videos and singles keep the era alive.

I don't let the performance of an album ruin it for me.

Of course not. As long as the music is good, and the singer performs a lot I'll enjoy it.

Not really. The CBT era was a bit of a flop, but the music, tour, performances, interviews etc., >>>

Nope some of the best albums came from flop eras; rated R, 4 and blackout!

So an era is boring based on it's chart performance?

I'm just going to be honest; I think it's mostly charting & performances.

Ofc not but I already said the reason why of this line.
When an artist flop, the label won't give (a lot of) money for the MV or promo so it gets boring really fast.

Yes, because I mean, seeing good chart positions is kind of a huge accomplishment. More success = more singles, promo etc.
