PS - someone slammed a door in the next room at pretty much the very same second my computer loaded that creepy picture, and I was definitely spooked for a bit. I guess I'm going to have to prepare myself for this movie.
This is only because it's the same director as The Conjuring and that movie was HUGE this summer. So it created hype for this.
What are you talking about? Insidious is one of the most popular and best reviewed horror films in recent years. The Conjuring had not one thing to do with this. Yes they are the same director, but Insidious Chapter 2 was much anticipated before The Conjuring even came to light.

Not completely true, the first is a hit on not only in theater but also on DVD. This follows what happens to Saw 1 and Saw 2. The first one build a instant large scale fan base and the sequel benefits from that a lot.
Insidious 2 was a good sequel.
However one thing I just cant understand is the hype for The Conjuring.

I like the out there backdrop of Insidious series.
