I know we're not a monolithic group, but I can't help but wonder where is that person's black consciousness is when they rush to defend or praise everything a certain white person does.

The only good Beatles song is Here Comes The Sun. All You Need Is Love is good too when used in movies. I guess Can't Buy Me Love is cute too (but also kind of annoying) and so is I Wanna Hold Your Hand. I only know their songs from movies.
There's a reason Across The Universe only made $29M WW while Mamma Mia made over $600M. ABBA's power.
Don't forget that their flop musical has been cancelled twice while Mamma Mia is one of the longest running ever. It's clear whose music resonates more with the public really.
