I never said it was an excuse though. I was just agreeing with Damien that people have been saying it for years.
I also think it has a lot to do with their audiences as to how people are reacting. Eminem is a rapper who is notorious for being a bully and he makes it obvious that his target audience is mature. Miley Cyrus started out as Hannah Montana which is what established her fan base and for that reason so has a much younger audience. She's trying to break away from that image, but at the same time, she still has young girls who follow her. I'm not the one to believe in celebrities being positive role models and ****. I personally think parents should raise their own kids, but that probably has a lot to do with it.
The only thing I really have to say about Miley is, if you're going to be the poster child for twerking and ****, the least you could do is actually be good at it. She's definitely not the first white person to try to earn her "black card"... She's just trying a little
too hard to the point where it seems to calculated and unauthentic. That's not cute.
