Colombian-born, international recording artist Shakira (winner of 2 Grammy awards; 8 Latin Grammy awards) has joined forces with “Love in the Time of Cholera” to contribute songs for the movie and soundtrack.

The epic love story of a man who waits fifty years for the love of his life amid the lush, romantic backdrop of early 20th century South America.

The movie was filmed in Cartagena, Colombia and also features Academy-Award Nominee colombian actress Catalina Sandino Moreno. It will premiere November 9th in Colombia and November 16th in the rest of the world. The book was chosen recently by Oprah for her book club, so a lot of people are expecting this film.

This movie will be huge, I can't wait to see it the day it premieres

Here's the link for one of Shakira's song: "Pienso en ti". Though this song is from her album "Pies Descalzos", if I'm not wrong, it is featured in this movie.

omg i read this book 2... shakira mentioned it once and i read it and i totally agree on why Shakira is in love w/ this book... this movie is going 2 be huge...

It is going to be huge!!!

And it will be premiered just in time so it can be an Oscar-nominated film. I hope Catalina Sandino gets nominated again, and Shakira gets nominated in Best Music or sth. It would be awesome.
