BlackBerry has announced Tegan and Sara as the faces for a new campaign featuring the company's new cell phone, the BlackBerry Z10. The sister duo will appear in print and billboard ads as well as a TV commercial, which is set to premiere worldwide next week.
In addition to that, the band has been announced as the headlining act for the new phone's product launch, which is rumored to take place later this month.
We reached the band, who is currently touring their album Shipwrecked in Australia, for a statement through email.
“We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with BlackBerry as it's another new and very exciting experience for us. We have always been fans of BlackBerry phones, we were never into iPhones so this is a very natural thing for us. Seeing as we tour a lot and don't spend much time at home during the year, we heavily rely on technology and phones to stay in touch with friends and family, and our BlackBerry phones are of great help in that. We're very happy to work together with them and represent them.”
It is already the third advertising campaign the duo has scored this year, after famously appearing in commercials for Garnier and Coca Cola earlier this summer.
