I would imagine the whole phone would be covered with a solid case that multiple companies design. I mean, imagine dropping it with no case and all the pieces go flying
But this doesn't fix the problem. The only good thing is that you can keep the other things on the phone to fix a problem instead of throwing it away. But that's it pretty much.
As has been pointed out, this is functionally unfeasible. Like, this would never actually work in practice. The person who created this video went to design school, not engineering school.
