My high school all 4 years did a moment of silence while our NJROTC performed and someone would sing the national anthem. Each year we would invite some war vets up and they make a quick speech and all the teachers and staff on campus that have served get recognized. And then a sad song is played, last year it was Hero by Enrique Inglesias... Seriously...
I wouldn't know since I only had one class today and it was in the afternoon.
But I think they did because I saw a lot of little flags spread throughout the honors grove. I'm in college so honestly, everyone does their own thing tbh.
