As much I like Courtney I wouldn't be calling Katy Perry's music boring. Katy makes radio friendly songs with certain anthems or meanings which can be repetitive to some, but that formula made her successful.
I remember when Christina wanted Courtney Love on her Stripped album and Courtney had some not-so-nice things to say. Then years later she retweeted someone who said Christina and her should collaborate.
