The problem is her high profile good performances have been good, but not so undeniably fantastic they slayed lives, while her bad performances have been memorably bad. WANEGBT was the Grammy
opener, for crying out loud.

And it all just went down the drain with WANEGBT.

But WANEGBT made her global. You gotta take the good with the bad. Any damage to her cred can easily be rectified with the right single choice, whereas she might not have such an obvious pop smash in her hands again. I will say over and over, the problem was not WANEGBT and IKYWT. The problem was not following them up with her best, career-defining work. 3rd single should have been All Too Well or State of Grace.
It's embarrassing to have to say that Miley's handled her career better. But releasing Wrecking Ball after We Can't Stop was a great move. Right at the moment when all attention is on her, she releases a strong, serious song.
