The Queen's Christmas album will scan platinum in it's debut week.

I have no idea what to expect with Christmas album sales. I'm sure she'll at least go gold by the end of the holiday season though, but I don't know what she would need for Michael Buble like success

Pretty much every Christmas album is released around late Oct./early Nov.
It's to maximize full potential sales during a very short time frame. It also helps spread the word out early, since Christmas songs start playing on the radio as early as the 2nd week of Nov. Especially since she's releasing a single.

Buble opened with 140k. Beiber opened with 200k+.

Obviously Buble ended up being the bigger album (2 years in a row). But I'd settle for Beiber success. He scanned a million by the end of that year. I'd be more than Happy if Kelly got over 500k.

How much did Stronger sell by Christmas? This will likely sell better than that...

Hopefully people who aren't a fan of Kelly's regular music will buy her Xmas album. The GP know by now how great of a singer she is.

The Holiday season does not kick into gear until the second week of November at the earliest. No one is checking for Xmas albums in October. That's all I'm saying. The debut week would've been higher if they had released the album even a week later.

Even if she debuts lower though it wouldn't matter in the long run... I'm looking through the best selling Christmas albums and it looks like pretty much every one increased in sales and position a few weeks after their opening week.

Exactly. If anything, those first few weeks can be seen as "extra" sales.

On WIR's Wiki page it says Shontelle is working on the album and on Kelly's 7th album... Is this old/fake? The source is invalid but it's so random
