$7.99 is $4 more than $3.99 according to Math. I don't make these rules. Besides, the album was ORIGINALLY $7.99 and then it went up to $9.99 on the day of release and then it went back down. Ari WINS and Tamuppet is a loser.
Ariana has way more promo then Tamar. As someone who loves Ariana, i even admit that. This talk about Tamar having more promo and this and this is perplexing. Ariana had more thirst to get the number 1 album and pulled out way more stops to get it then Tamar did.
The real winner is Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. Didn't pull out any stops to get the Number 1 spot and still did 105k,
Love and War wasn't necessarily a flop though. It went #1 on iTunes, #8 on the R&B chart, and was a big radio hit.
These girls are always focused on the Hot 100. L&W was a huge urban airplay hit, so it did not flop by any means since it was only sent to urban formats (and rhythmic, I believe).
Congrats to Ariana I'm still so happy for her. Hopefully this means her team will have her do more promotional performances now, especially for "Baby I."
Atiana has a series to promote herself too and she just had a movie with other stars which premiered 2 weeks ago and had been on tv since then...
Tamars reality show was literally to promote her music, Arianas show is a scripted Nickoloden show, I dont watch the show often but I highly doubt she was promoting her album like Tamar was on her show. both of them had about an equal amount of promotion, Ari outbeat her and it was all fair and square.

Tamar has been promoting this album since September 20, 2012 when the first episode of Tamar & Vince aired. Let's not even get into the amount of radio talk shows and interviews she's done since then.

Exactly. Love and War was virtually inescapable for about 6 months on the R&B stations. Every single time a bitch got in her car it was either that or Adorn playing.
Today Show, Fallon, had her album $7.99 the majority of the week on Amazon. And official sites of artists really don't sell much so for Tamar to have it at $3.99 is thirsty, it's not like it sells a lot through the official site.

On her official site that really doesn't do a lot of sales. Not as much as itunes.
