It's one of the things that irritates me. I'm amused by fans who are like "This label control is something new" and I'm like no, it's not. After her breakup with Justin, they started rejecting songs from other song writers about her personal life. It's been something that's continued over the years. It's clear she wants more control. RCA seems to be willing to let that happen. Femme Fatale was the last album influenced by Jive folk (though released under RCA). I'm looking forward to how this works now...
Exactly. All she's allowed to sing about is sex, the media, and Radar. We know there's more down there somewhere but this is all we get. This album is either going to be a complete disaster or her most meaningful work.

Pretty sure Britney herself wanted that too. She doesn't like to bring her sad emotions out so much
Bloodshy & Avant and others said Jive rejected songs the label deemed "too personal" or about her relationship with Justin; Britney would never get to hear those songs. Just like Britney never got to hear Umbrella.
ooh I see never knew that.
I always wondered about Umbrella
tbh, that could be a good thing. It leaves a WHOLE other side of Britney for her and us to explore as she grows more and more mature as an artist. She's only 31.
In case you missed it, Britney Spears sent the Internet into a frenzy over the weekend when she posted a sizzling photo wearing only an itty bitty teal bikini.
The singer was on set filming her new video "Work Bitch," but that's not the only reason why she's been toning up.
"She's been a terror lately, working as hard as she can," the Grammy winner's trainer Tony Martinez tells E! News exclusively. "She's using all sports right now to get ready for her 90 minute Las Vegas show."
Although her workouts are less than an hour (about 40 minutes), Martinez says they are grueling.
"It is intense, interval training to keep her heart rate up. In a show, she will be dancing and singing non-stop. In her training, she only has about 10 to 15 second rests between each set," Martinez explains. "She is doing Olympic-style training. This is hard-core stuff. Britney knew she needed to step up her game. She is just drilling it but she likes too! She loves to sweat and she still talks smack to me."
Because the routines (something he calls Trickeration) are so intense, Martinez's main focus is making it fun by using sports, which is why he allows her to play tennis and do soccer drills .
"She loves tennis. She likes to serve. She was serving the ball like Serena Williams!"
In addition to tennis, Martinez likes to fill up her workout time with other sports such as boxing, football and basketball. Apparently our girl Brit's got quite the arm too: "She throws a perfect spiral every time," says Martinez.
She also climbs a 10-foot fence and does several exercises with the trainer's core discs and workout bands (part of his Travel Fit bag, available for purchase next week). Why? Britney really wants to tone up her tummy. "She always wants to work her abs," he shares.
We're exhausted just by reading the routine! Leave it to Britney to do it all with that signature smile on her face.
"She is mentally and physically 100 perfect ready for Vegas. She's so excited to perform and show what great shape she is in," he gushes of his client, adding: "She is working so hard. It is paying off. She is in a really good place and I'm so proud of her."
I hate when producers smother Britney's vocals in productions. Check out the layered (hidden) vocals from Scream & Shout
So amazing.

The sped up part of the song 0:45-0:58 still sucks.

It's like they have no faith in Britney for anything. They rarely let her write, they distort her vocals into some kind of answering machine voice, and let's not even get into touring. It's like music videos are the only avenue she's still allowed to speak her mind on, and thank God for that at least.
Right? In times like these I wish Britney was more of a vocal person, she's just so shy and "oh, you're so good, it's ok, do whatever you feel like", it's kind of annoying.
